Arjundeep (Deep) Singh works for British Airways Interiors Engineering as Materials Administrator and has flown through the CIPS Level 4 Diploma, swiftly progressing on to Level 5 Advanced Diploma. Deep talks to Nicky at APA about his training so far.
NH Prior to your CIPS training, what was your previous highest level of education?
AS Before starting my study journey with APA training for a CIPS qualification, I studied Mechanical Engineering at University of South Wales.
NH How does studying for CIPS qualifications fit in with your day to day working and home life? Do you think you would have found the courses more difficult if you had gone down the self-study route?
AS Having the support from tutors helps to ease the stresses that can accompany studying with a work-life-study balance. As well as having their guidance and help during lessons, they are also supportive outside of lectures too.
NH Now that you have completed the Level 4 Diploma, what specific areas of procurement can say you definitely know more about now?
AS After studying my CIPS level 4 Diploma, I have a much wider knowledge and understanding of procurement and supply that I was not exposed to before. I feel much more knowledgeable about different areas and terminology, such as logistics and contracts.
NH How has your CIPS training benefitted your organisation would you say?
AS The training has allowed me to expand my knowledge within these areas and has helped me to deliver tangible benefits for my organisation. Through completing the training, I have been able to harness everything I’ve learned and have developed even stronger relationships with suppliers as a result.
NH How have you found the transition from Level 4 Diploma to the Level 5 Advanced Diploma?
AS The support from APA training has been great and it’s really helped me easily transition from Level 4 to Level 5 due to consistent teaching styles and references.
NH How did you find the whole experience training with APA as a provider? Would you recommend us to others looking to start their CIPS qualifications?
I would recommend APA training for anyone looking to start or continue their CIPS qualification. Their continued guidance is extremely beneficial, and they provide an incredibly supportive learning environment.
