Why choose APA?

Learning Together

Our weekly lessons are delivered through our live online classroom which is fully interactive and provides opportunities to work in smaller break-our groups. There are huge benefits in the weekly structure of tuition and in being able to discuss and explore practices and ideas with other professionals and our expert tutors. We find these to be invaluable not only in assisting with the course material but also in providing structure and motivation to the learning process.

Flexible Learning

We understand that work commitments mean sometimes it is possible to attend some live lessons and all our sessions are recorded should you need to catch up on a missed lesson. We also offer flexible Distance Learning where the student studies in their own time, with the benefits of tutorial recordings and access to tutors and course coordinators.

All tutorials are flexibly provided according to individual requirements.

Passing your exams

APA Procurement Training is committed to helping you pass your exams. We run a dedicated revision session at the end of each module, one week before the exams, to help you to prepare as effectively as possible. We also provide essay-writing coaching throughout the duration of each course.

As a CIPS Centre of Excellence, we have an exceptional record of enabling students to achieve CIPS qualifications at all levels with above average exam results. If you are not able to sit an exam, or you are not successful first time, we guarantee to work with you until you achieve a pass.

Learning time

For CIPS courses, classes are weekly for approximately 3-4 hours. Tuition for each of the 5 modules at all levels consists of 6-7 class study sessions plus one final revision session at the end of the module to prepare you effectively for the exam.

Each person is different, and the learning activity that best suits you and the number of hours of study required outside of class for each module may vary significantly. As a general rule, we think that about the same time studying outside of class as learning inside it will leave you very well placed for exam success. This may depend on a range of things including previous educational experience, work experience and your personal leaning style.

Supporting your studies

  • Your tutors will support you both inside and outside of the class in a number of different ways:
  • The option of individual tutorials according to each student’s requirements
  • The setting of work to complete at home each week, based on material covered in the classroom during the last teaching session. This work will, generally, be discussed at the start of the following session, or be handed in for marking and comment
  • Access to class session notes and recordings covering the syllabus material, which can be used in combination with the course study guides
  • Setting past examination questions, particularly in the final weeks of each module, with feedback provided to each student
  • The opportunity to contact your tutor at any mutually convenient time via phone, email or Teams to discuss any aspect of your studies.
